Corporate Associate

Criteria: Corporate Associate Membership of BIAZA is open to companies that may (or may not) trade with BIAZA members, and companies operating on a local, national or global basis. No company that deals in animals may apply to become a Corporate Associate Member of BIAZA. This category of Membership is not open to those who own or hold animals as a function of their business.

All applications for associateship have to be approved by the Membership & Licensing Committee and Council. All applicants must agree to abide by the obligations of BIAZA. Please note that no associates (regardless of which category they belong to) have voting rights.

Benefits of membership:

  • Listing on the BIAZA website and in a corporate directory for members sent out annually
  • Receive BIAZA News and Annual Report with a discount on advertising
  • Have access to BIAZA membership list and member contact details
  • Press releases/news advertised on the BIAZA website and features in BIAZA News
  • Receive regular mailings from the BIAZA Office
  • Receive invitations to the Annual Meeting and AGM with the right to exhibit at a reduced rate 
  • Have a closer association with BIAZA members
  • Permission to cite corporate membership of BIAZA in publications (through use of BIAZA’s logo without prior written permission of BIAZA is not permitted).
  • May attend the AGM dinner
  • The opportunity to sponsor and attend other BIAZA events and to make presentations
  • After 3 years members can apply for Gold Corporate Membership of BIAZA

Cost: Membership rates per calendar year, commencing the date membership is ratified (for the year of joining, the rate for the remainder of the calendar year is charged. This applies to the membership fee only. The joining fee is not pro-rated), is based on the number of employees in the organisation. All new corporate members from January 1, 2015 will be asked to pay a joining fee tying into the tier fee system. For 2017:

  1. 1-5          £125 + VAT per annum (Joining fee £100)
    6 - 50      £454 + VAT per annum (Joining fee £300)
    51-100   £740 + VAT per annum (Joining fee £500)
    101-150 £1,245 + VAT per annum (Joining fee £800)
    >150       £1,866+ VAT per annum (Joining fee £1200)

Rates for associateship are subject to inflation as per full membership. VAT is added to all rates.

New data released by WWF and ZSL (Zoological Society of London) today reveals that overall global vertebrate populations are on course to decline by an average of 67 per cent from 1970 levels by the end of this decade, unless urgent action is taken to reduce humanity’s impact on species and ecosystems.
