Zoo Design Conference 2017

ZOO Wrocław is pleased to invite you to attend  the International Zoo Design Conference which will take place on 4-7 April 2017 in Wrocław, Poland. The theme of the 2017 International Zoo Design Conference is "Animal Welfare through built-in enrichment". It will be explored and discussed in depth during three days of moderated sessions with presentations of best practices in large and small facilities.

We hope that the International Zoo Design Conference will be a significant event for zoo and aquarium design professionals. It is the first conference worldwide that addresses design, construction and maintenance of exhibits for live animals with the aim of improving animal welfare.

Collaborative research by the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Bristol Zoological Society and the Comorian NGO Dahari has revealed the Livingstone’s fruit bat is likely to be the most endangered fruit bat in the world. 


New data released by WWF and ZSL (Zoological Society of London) today reveals that overall global vertebrate populations are on course to decline by an average of 67 per cent from 1970 levels by the end of this decade, unless urgent action is taken to reduce humanity’s impact on species and ecosystems.
