The Parks and Countryside service has a vacancy for an Education Officer, who will work closely with our Outreach team, liaising with colleagues at Tropical World, Lotherton Hall Bird Garden and the Countryside Rangers, as well as teachers and community groups to design and deliver related educational programmes and activities to schools and community groups.      
 
You will have to interpret historical documentation and be able to undertake, with a knowledge of teaching principles in relation to the National Curriculum, environmental education to a wide range of groups of people with varying ages.  Experience in working with volunteers, community groups, children and young people, together with experience in countryside management or nature conservation is essential to the role.
 
37 hours per week,  some evening and weekend hours may be required.
