Colchester Zoo welcomes its first spotted hyena cub!


The cub was born on the 20th June 2012 and has not yet been sexed. In 2011 Colchester Zoo became the only zoo in the UK to house this species, and now is very pleased that their pair of spotted hyena have successfully produced a healthy cub.

Paignton Zoo's Great Big Rhino Project has made crucial donations of cash to wildlife conservation on two continents. The Project is to give £60,000 to support work in Africa and South East Asia to protect rhinos in the wild. More
