BIAZA's native species conservation projects are committed to being at the forefront of conservation, education and research.

Join us on the following dates for our 3-part BIAZA Marine Mammal training course; each session lasts around 3 hours:

Session 1 - Saturday 3rd April 2021: GENERAL INTRODUCTION AND CETACEANS - Introductions, sightings data, threats and conservation, evolution, British species (including taxonomy, morphology, behaviours, distribution and more).

Session 2 - Saturday 17 th April 2021: PINNIPEDS - Introduction, terminology, evolution, conservation and exploitation, protections and legislation, British species (including taxonomy, morphology, behaviours, distribution and more), threats and research. Gem Simmons, founder of North Wales Seal Research Organisation, will be giving this session.

Session 3 - Saturday 1 st May 2021: SEABIRDS, SURVEY METHODS, EQUIPMENT AND DATA COLLECTION
