Tried and tested techniques to engage 13-25 year olds

Friday 27th March 2020, University of Bristol Botanic Garden

The physical and psychological benefits of spending time outdoors are well researched and for teenagers this can affect not only their academic performance, but prepare them for adulthood. Peek into the inner workings of the adolescent brain to begin to understand why this is the hardest group to entice to our outdoor venues, and find out who is working hard in achieving this audience engagement.

Case studies from RHS Green Plan It, Dig the Dirt, SAPS and The Great Science Share with Schools will show the possibilities and benefits of working with young people.

This training day will benefit anyone working in outdoor, plant or heritage education and is interested in widening or strengthening their offer to engage 13-25 year olds.
