Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is continuing to grow, with lots of exciting developments planned for 2026 and beyond. This year our site and animal collection has grown significantly, including an increase in our animal ranger team, and with this growth continuing into 2026 we are really looking forward to the new year – and we are on the hunt for another Ranger to join us.

About the Role

As a Ranger at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, you will:

  • Provide daily husbandry and care for a range of species, following high welfare and safety standards across all sections

  • Maintain clean, safe and engaging enclosures, including routine cleaning, feeding and enrichment

  • Observe animal health and behaviour, accurately recording information and reporting any concerns promptly

  • Assist with veterinary procedures and routine health checks as required

  • Deliver engaging keeper talks, encounters, birthday parties, educational sessions and events across the park to our visitors

  • Work closely with the wider jimmys farm team including maintance and gardners. 

This is a hands-on role in all weathers and includes regular weekend, bank holiday and school holiday working.

About You

We’re looking for the right individual who will fit well within our friendly, hard-working team – someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in, is happy to roll up their sleeves, and is open to all kinds of work across the park when needed.

You will also:

  • Hold a relevant animal-related qualification 

  • Have 2 years experience working in a zoo, wildlife park, safari park or similar environment

  • Demonstrate excellent animal husbandry skills and a strong understanding of animal welfare and enrichment

  • Be confident working safely around a variety of species, following protocols and risk assessments

  • Be comfortable interacting with the public and delivering talks and demonstrations

  • Work well in a team but also be capable of using your own initiative

  • Have good communication, organisation and record-keeping skills

  • Be flexible, reliable and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
