A population of terrestrial water voles - unique within mainland Britain - has been identified near Glasgow, inhabiting subterranean burrow systems on motorway embankments, grass verges and amenity lawns.

Knowsley Safari will be temporarily housing 2 elephants at Noah’s Ark ‘Elephant Eden’ whilst they complete construction of a new elephant facility, which will be ready for opening in 2016.
