BIAZA is a membership association representing more than 100 zoos and aquariums and a growing number of associate members.
All our members are committed to furthering the Association and our Mission and are required to abide by BIAZA’s Memorandum and Articles of Association. BIAZA zoos and aquariums must do more than comply with zoo licensing legislation and be seen to undertake significant work in the field of animal welfare, conservation, education and research.
Becoming a member
We offer different levels of membership from Full Membership, for zoological collections that are open to the public, to our Basic Associate category which is aimed at individuals with an interest in the work of our Association.
All applications are considered by BIAZA’s Membership & Licensing Committee and approved by BIAZA Board. The Committee meets four times a year; January, April/May, July, and October/November, and applications must be submitted at least three weeks prior to this or they will be held over to the subsequent meeting.
