The Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre was established in Mablethorpe in 1974. It started life as the ‘Animal and Bird Garden’ but rescued seals soon started arriving requiring us to acquire the knowledge and equipment to look after them. All the while new and different animals where arriving, emus, birds of prey, lynx, and more recently meerkats, reptiles and primates. The attraction is open 10 months a year.
