UK Zoo Vet Meeting

I am happy to announce that this year's UK ZooVet meeting will take place on Friday 19^th May at Drayton Manor Zoo and Theme Park near Tamworth. 

In its third year, this meeting is for permanent in-house zoo vets, as well as general practitioners providing veterinary services to zoological collections. The previous two meetings were very well attended and received great reviews, and we are confident that we have managed once more to organise a varied and interesting programme with excellent speakers for the day. It is also a great opportunity to catch up and network with colleagues in the zoo veterinary field. 

This year's topics include: 

• An update of AI outbreaks in zoological collections - APHA's perspective
• Dentistry in zoo animals 
• Veterinary buying groups - are they worth it for zoos? 
• Reproductive management in zoo animals
• An update from the BIAZA TB working group survey
• Open wound management in zoo animals

The final programme will be sent out to delegates at a later date. 

The day will run from 10.00 - 16.30 (registration from 9.30) and will cost £20 pp (tea/coffee and lunch included) - a BARGAIN! (I mean, where else do you get 5 hours CPD for that money?).

For people travelling from afar, there is the opportunity to stay in the Drayton Manor Hotel for £75.00pppn (breakfast included). To book a room, call the hotel directly and quote 'UK Zoo Veterinary meeting'. They will hold the rooms at this rate until 21^st April for us.
