ABWAK Large Animal Rescue Training Workshop

Bespoke training to equip selected personnel with the skills and knowledge to work safely in an animal rescue team.  Hosted by Longleat Safari Park in association with 3SFire from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority.  This highly acclaimed team regularly carry out large animal rescue training and have a strong international profile.  Widely regarded as the highest level experts in this field.  The team will provide a full day of training to provide a robust, joined up approach to incidents involving large animals.

Agenda for the day:

• Class room presentation
• Practical teaching manipulation techniques.
• Enabling leaners to utilise fully approved animal rescue methods.
• Demonstrations include skidding methods.
• Participation - hands on use of Rescue slings and hobbles

This ABWAK supported CPD training is a rare offering for those professionals working with large animal species.

Please wear sensible footwear and clothing for a day course involving combined indoor presentation and practical outside hands on skills.

Bookings will not be confirmed unless online registration is completed and full payment has been made.  Places are limited.  Cost for ABWAK Professional members (subsidised) -  £80.  Professional non-members also welcome - £160. Refreshments and lunch are included in the price.  9am – 5pm.

Our target audience for this training day is zoo professionals working with large species.  If you do not fit that criteria, but would still like to attend please contact the workshop organiser BEFORE buying a ticket to join a waiting list for any spare places.
