We are very excited to welcome you to our 2025 BIAZA Conservation Education Conference being held at Hertfordshire Zoo on 11-13 November.

The theme for this year is "The Power of Questioning". From the "how" to the "why", and the ever-essential "what next", this conference invites us to reflect on the role of inquiry in shaping impactful, meaningful conservation education.

The conference will include:

  • Keynotes with impact
  • Tailored workshops and presentations with clear takeaways
  • Opportunities for networking and collaboration
  • Exclusive tours of Hertfordshire Zoo
  • Catering and refreshements provided throughout

You can also book your optional tickets for our wonderful celebratory gala dinner on Wednesday 12th, and an extra day trip to see sister zoo the Big Cat Sanctuary.

NOTE: Big Cat Sanctuary day with transport is now sold out but if you wanted to make your own way there please email [email protected] to register

For more information about the conference see our info pack.

Conference Bursary Information

BIAZA's Conservation Education Committee is providing up to 2 bursaries to support members with attending the conference this year.  This bursary is specifically for early career educators who wouldn't be able to attend the conference without this additional support.  We particularly welcome applications from those working for BIAZA members who haven't attended the education conference in recent years.  Find out more here.

This bursary is funded by Mazuri Distributed by ips and we are extremely grateful to them for their support. Mazuri Distributed by ips logo
