BIAZA Great Ape Welfare Group workshop

The Great Ape Welfare Group, in conjunction with ABWAK and BIAZA, are delighted to invite you to Chessington World of Adventures for two days of discussion surrounding great apes in human care. 

Presentations will include an update from the Great Ape Heart Project, information on gastrointestinal disease, talks on nutrition and browse provision, plus much more. We are once again offering keeper talk slots and practical workshops. You'll also get to enjoy a tour of Chessington's great ape facilities.

Cost for ABWAK and BIAZA members: £45 per day or £105 for both days, including evening event on day one.

Non-member ABWAK/BIAZA great ape keepers: £50 per day or £115 for both days including evening event on day one.

A delegate discount will also be available for accommodation in Chessingtons on-site hotel, which will be priced at £65 for a single or £75 for a double/twin room, per night. Alternatively, there is a Premier Inn located ten minutes walk away from the resort.
