This year's Native Species Working Group conference will be hosted by Paradise Wildlife Park. The packed agenda will be shared shortly and will include presentations and updates from a range of zoo and aquarium-based projects, divided broadly as follows:
Day 1 (6th Sept): Sampling, monitoring and restoring - including a keynote presentation from Nida Al-Fulaij, Grants Manager, and dormouse monitor at People’s Trust for Endangered Species, as well as a practical harvest mouse nest surveying session on site
Day 2 (7th Sept): Sharing and engaging - including a keynote from PWP on use of media to engage young audiences with native species, use of social media to boost project success and also a workshop on Red List assessment.
There will be an icebreaker session on the 5th September, with an informal gathering at The Bull pub in Broxbourne, and an on-site bat survey session followed by a bbq on the evening of 6th september.
