In a world where waders are facing increasing pressures and many populations have declined or are declining, there is a growing interest in headstarting as a conservation tool.

Headstarting is a relatively new technique for waders. It is showing promise for some species in some situations, but there is a lot to learn and many pitfalls to avoid.

Project Godwit are running a conference to bring together those involved in headstarting and related methods for birds, and those interested in learning about the technique, with the aim of sharing information, improving collective understanding and helping to ensure this method is effectively developed, deployed and monitored.

Book your place now for our full 2 day conference where you can expect lunch and refreshments each day along with an evening meal on the first day.
