Join us for a full day workshop dedicated to improving your knoiwledge of animal training  and behaviour mangaement, helping you to develop the skills of future animal care professionals.

We will focus on how to break your goal into bitesize chunks that are easy to teach to students and animals. There will be roleplaying games, live animal demos and group discussions, all structured to help you help your animals and your students.

Foundation behaviours such as target, station, recall, scale and crate are some of the most important things we can ask our animals to cooperate with and these become the basis for future, more complex behaviours. As such we will learn how to teach students (and new staff) how to train these behaviours, and have fun doing it!

All training will be science led and positive reinforcement based, with the emphasis on empowering our animals to participate voluntarily in their own care.

There will be opportunities for questions and problem solving throughout the day.

Ticket prices includes lunch and a tour of Solihull College's facilities.
