We are delighted to invite you to the Technology in Wildlife Welfare Workshop on 4th July 2025, at the University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science (Sutton Bonington campus, just outside Nottingham). This will be a whole day workshop for captive and free-ranging wildlife professionals, academics and technology experts, to network and explore the opportunities various technologies offer to monitor and improve wild animal welfare in any setting.

Within the programme, we will give participants a broad overview of current and emerging wildlife welfare challenges and priorities, as well as technologies which might help with these. The rest of the day will provide opportunities for small group discussions on these topics, as well as for networking. We hope that this event will be able to bring together those facing practical welfare challenges with those working on technological solutions which might be able to address those. We also aim to facilitate follow up meetings and interaction between interested parties to develop funding bids to take new ideas further.

The event is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council through the Animal Welfare Research Network. Attendance is free, but registration is required, and places are limited. If you would like to join us at this workshop, please register here.
