Following our work on BIAZA’s newsletter, we were invited back for a new challenge: marking a major milestone in their conservation journey—50 years of championing zoos and aquariums across Britain and Ireland. The brief was to create a celebratory ‘50-years’ logo and a standout brochure that honoured their legacy, reflected their high standards, and turned heads in the process.
We began with the logo. Instead of a generic gold stamp, we crafted a bespoke 50-year mark built from a collection of carefully chosen animal silhouettes, each one representing the incredible biodiversity BIAZA supports. The entire logo mark was set in gold, a nod to both the milestone and their golden reputation in the world of conservation.
To complement the logo, we updated BIAZA’s existing brand mark to include a bold gold banner proudly declaring ‘50 years’. This version of the logo became their identity for the full anniversary year before reverting to the original design, minus the banner, once the celebrations wrapped up.
Our creative direction didn’t stop at the logo. The 50-year identity was featured across a suite of materials, including posters, pull-up banners, BIAZA’s monthly magazine, and the beautifully produced commemorative brochure.
The brochure was finished to an exceptionally high specification, designed to be picked up, admired, and kept. Printed on heavyweight stock with a soft-touch lamination, it featured a striking gold foil graphic on the cover, a fitting tribute to BIAZA’s premium position in the world of conservation. Every detail was considered to ensure the print piece not only informed, but also reflected the care and quality BIAZA is known for.
It’s not every day you turn 50, so we made sure BIAZA celebrated in style.
