BIAZA has joined seven other organisations to write to the UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, responding to his speech on civil society, and calling on his Government to work more closely with the charitable sector.
What did you do on your summer holiday? We've written to the Prime Minister to ask him to work with us to address the challenges facing families up and down the country.Too many children dread answering that question ‘what did you do during summer holidays?’ Too many families will not have the opportunity to experience those days out that make inspire and change lives.
BIAZA along with WWT and The Heritage Alliance have organised a special one day free conference as a day of thought and action on addressing the barriers between families and incredible experiences from inspirational days out. Attendees at the special event hosted at WWT London Wetland Centre, will hear about how RZSS's have changed their ticketing scheme to encourage visits from those families with less income to Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park. Attendees will also hear how the Ocean Conservation Trust is striving to connect communities with the ocean, beyond the site of the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.
BIAZA member zoos and aquariums welcome over 30 million visits each year - providing brilliant days out while supporting conservation and education.
