Member of Blackpool Pleasure Beach Family Dynasty, Morgan Thompson, joins Vision to oversee Business Development in the UK and Europe.
Vision is pleased to welcome Morgan Thompson to bolster its offering in the entertainment and attraction sector. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Morgan will play a key role in project managing new entertainment projects in the UK and Europe as well as supporting global projects in the theme park and entertainment sector.
The appointment was announced on Monday 13th November 2023 at the BALPPA drinks reception which celebrates the start of the prestigious IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida.
With almost 15 years’ experience in the attractions industry, including working across multiple departments at one of the world’s leading amusement parks, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Morgan’s career highlights include projects such as Nickelodeon Land, Sky Force, and Icon. He has also worked at Sea World, Australia Gold Coast.
Morgan’s passion and experience is following directly in the footsteps of his great-great-grandfather who founded Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 1896 and his late-grandfather, Geoffrey Thompson OBE, who was the managing director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, ex-President of IAAPA, twice president of Balppa and President of Euro Park. The amusement park continues to be managed and owned by the Thompson family and continues to innovate, thrill, and expand to exceed visitor expectations.
