About The Role

We are looking for a proactive individual to join our living collections team at WWT’s Martin Mere Centre. 

This is a fixed term position for 6 months.

Duties will include the daily and general maintenance and horticultural control of the grounds and enclosures. As well as supporting the feeding of our collection birds and mammals and cleaning of animal enclosures. The successful candidate will support other members of the living collections staff in the overall maintenance and presentation of the site, ensuring the welfare of the wildfowl collection at all times.

The position also requires you to work on the canoe safari and to assist with car parking during busy periods. This position is varied, interesting and calls for a practical approach grounded in experience and competence.
 

About You

If you have skills and previous experience relating to animal care and welfare, horticultural and enclosure maintenance this would be an advantage.
