Bird of prey keeper & Presenter

KEEPER VACANCY – BIRDS OF PREY
Millet Wildside is looking for an experienced bird of prey trainer and presenter to join our dedicated, friendly team.
This position offers the successful applicant the chance to work with a wide range of species of birds of prey in a progressive environment.
About the position
· Permanent - full time , 8am-5pm, 5 days a week typically Wednesdays to Sundays.
· Daily tasks including everyday husbandry, food prep, cleaning, record keeping, flying 
demonstrations, experiences with the public, keeper talks, training and enrichment.
· Weekends, Bank Holidays and School Holidays are working days.
· Wage dependant on experience.
What we are looking for from you!
· A passion for birds of prey and animals, their welfare, enrichment and conservation.
· Dedication and positive work ethic.
· At least 2 years paid employment working within a bird of prey centre or zoo collection.
· Enthusiasm for working outdoors.
· Experience in training birds of prey and conducting flying demonstrations and experiences.
· Deliver entertaining and educational commentaries.
· Work well with others, as well as being responsible and confident to work alone away from the 
centre occasionally.
· Good time keeping is essential.
· Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
· A full clean driving licence.
· Be able to provide proof of right to work in UK if application is successful.
