Experienced Falconer

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Falconer/Bird Keeper to join our team. This role involves the daily care, training, and maintenance of our birds, ensuring their health and well-being. Falconry experience is a must.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of aviaries, enclosures, and work areas.

·       Feeding: Prepare and provide appropriate diets for all birds.

·       Flying & Training: Train and fly birds for enrichment

·       Weighing Birds: Monitor and record bird weights to ensure optimal health.

·       Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and minor repairs within the bird section to maintain a safe and suitable environment.

 

Requirements:

·       Previous experience in bird care, ideally with birds of prey.

·       Falconry experience is highly desirable.

·       Strong observational and record-keeping skills.

·       Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

·       A passion for avian conservation, welfare, and training.

·       Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
