Taylor Made Designs are delighted to announce that they have been awarded ISO 14001! This global sustainability standard proves that TMD are serious about their environmental impact.
“This ISO 14001 accreditation is a massive milestone for us – I’m so proud of everybody who has been working hard behind the scenes on our application,” says Ed Taylor, MD of Taylor Made Designs. “ISO 14001 accreditation can take years to achieve.”
TMD’s application began back in January 2024. The uniform & workwear business had to demonstrate everything they’re currently doing on sustainability. They also had to share their plans to go even further in the years ahead.
“Sustainability is not just an afterthought for us; it’s truly at the very heart of what we do,” says Jake Harvey, Operations Director. “ISO 14001 validates our efforts – it proves to the outside world that we really are working in a sustainable manner.”
Over the years, Taylor Made Designs have taken big steps as a business to cut waste and carbon emissions. They provide carbon-offset deliveries to all UK addresses. Every order is shipped in recyclable cardboard boxes with paper packing tape and recyclable document wallets. The business also offers an end-of-use uniform recycling service.
Looking to the future, TMD have plans to provide more sustainable uniform solutions to their clients. Textiles can now be made from marine litter, ocean-bound plastic and recycled cotton. Those textiles can be turned into stylish branded uniform for aquariums and zoos.
“This new accreditation is proof that, as a business, we practice what we preach,” says James Taylor, Global Sales Director of Taylor Made Designs. “it’s one thing to describe yourself as environmentally friendly; it’s another to build a business that is genuinely sustainable. We’re really, really proud of what we’ve achieved with this accreditation.”
