Our newest internship focuses on the Trust’s vital work in conservation education, assisting with the delivery of education workshops and activities to visiting schools alongside getting involved in developing educational resources. This internship is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience in public engagement and education with a key focus on conservation. Candidates might also complete a research project, which could examine an aspect of conservation education at the Trust.
The Intern will help with the work of the Conservation, Research and Education Department. This may include, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Public engagement and education for conservation
- Assisting with the delivery of education workshops/activities and other daily activities where required
- Contributing to interpretation and educational resource development
- Conservation education and visitor engagement research
- Contributing to content for social media
- Reviewing literature and online media
- Data management and analysis
The ideal intern would have:
- A passion for the outdoors and nature, and sharing this with other people
- Background/interest in citizen or behavioural science
- A full driving licence and access to own transport is desirable
- Very good people skills
- Experience with talking to groups is desirable
- Enthusiasm, commitment and reliability
This internship is up to 6 months during summer/autumn 2024 (preferred start date May/June 2024), some weekend working will be required
