We are recruiting for an Animal Team Manager to lead the Carnivore team on a permanent basis. Applicants must be hard-working, conscientious, able to work as part of a team and always looking to pursue high standards of welfare and husbandry, as well as visitor experience.
The Animal Team Manager – Carnivores (ATMc) is a specialist role with an excellent knowledge of canid and felid species’ biology and husbandry management, has proven interpersonal skills, is capable to successfully manage and lead a team of technical experts in animal care. The job holder is responsible for supporting the development of and implementing a long-term management plan for the Carnivore section working alongside the Head of Living Collections. The job-holder is primary responsible for projects, schedules and deadlines within the section, ensuring the needs of the team are aligned with the overall company’s goals. The Animal Team Manager-Carnivores is expected to be a positive role model to others through living our Company values. This is considered a Senior management role within the organisation with elements of curatorial and Head of Section roles.
