This is an exciting opportunity to join the Five Sisters Zoo team and carry out maintenance work across various animal habitats and public facilities at the park.
The successful candidate will:
-Carry out maintenance and repairs across Five Sisters Zoo
-Carry out water pump maintenance regularly in all the zoo’s aquatic habitats (Humboldt penguins, Asiatic short -clawed otter, Lost Kingdom reptile house)
-Assist the zoos animal care team with water testing in aquatic habitats
-Work with various staff teams and volunteers to ensure the zoo is kept safe, tidy and presentable
-Help manage external contractors where required
-Ensure staff members across the zoo are given the opportunity to learn basic maintenance skills
Must Have:
-Experience working with water pumps (preferably in a zoo/aquarium setting)
-Confidence making maintenance decisions
-Good communication skills – this role will involve work with all Five Sisters Zoo staff teams
