A rare and exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Head of Animals & Plants to join the team at Marwell Wildlife. Working closely with the Zoological Director, you will be responsible for the welfare, safety and security of Marwell’s animals and will oversee the Animal, Plants and Landscapes and Veterinary teams.
The Head of Animals & Plants will develop and implement the zoo's species spatial plan and landscape plans in conjunction with the Animal, Plants & Landscapes and Habitats teams. They will also develop the veterinary services at Marwell in conjunction with the Veterinary Team.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience in animal management or biological sciences as well as wide-ranging experience and a significant track record of exotic animal management, including specialist taxonomic knowledge.
