We are looking to hire a General Manger for our new aquarium in Bray, Co. Wicklow Ireland.
The General Manager will:
Maximise the number of visitors to the aquarium.
Be responsible for planning and staff management, finance, health & safety of the aquarium.
Deliver the highest level of customer service. Staff recruitment and training.
Develop Marketing plan and work within budgets.
Work closely with Directors. Management reports and budgets to be set and worked within.
The main duties of your role will include but not be limited to:
Responsible for opening up and closing the premises.
Running and Managing the reception and the shop area. To maintain adequate stock levels of all products in the shop and office supplies
Staffing the premises. Along with the directors and other members of the senior management team looking after the hiring and care of staff.
To set up Marketing strategy / plan and to develop on a regular basis
To adhere to budgets set by Directors
Prepare weekly & monthly financial report and budgets to be sent to Directors. Look after end of day cash reports.
General office duties including answering all correspondance via phone and email and dealing with all customer queries or complaints
Ensure the aquarium is cleaned on a daily basis and is maintained in a hygienic manner. Adhering to all health and safety regulations in place.
Work closely with the Head Aquarist as part of this Aquarium team.
To observe fire, health and safety rules and procedures and to partake in fire and accident drills.
To report, and where possible take action on incidents of accident, fire loss or damage and to fill out the relevant documentation.
To oversee the day to day opeations of the Aquarium and it's staff.
