Full/Part-Time Housekeeper Required
(Permanent Contract; 20-40 Hours Per week)
The Big Cat Sanctuary is seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our warm and welcoming team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our luxurious on-site lodges, modern offices, and shared spaces - all set in the heart of our beautiful, wildlife-rich sanctuary.

Position Overview:
Deliver a consistent 5-star housekeeping service across the site, contributing to a clean, safe and serene environment for our guests, staff and animals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and maintain our premium guest lodges, staff offices and communal areas
- Follow The Big Cat Sanctuary’s high cleaning standards, including:
- Inspecting and maintaining soft furnishings
- Vacuuming, dusting, and polishing throughout the site
- Cleaning fridges and freezers, ensuring they are hygienic and fully operational
- Polishing and disinfecting bathrooms and shower rooms
- Refreshing towels, linen and toilet supplies
- Replacing guest amenities and monitoring expiry dates
- Ensure all outdoor guest areas, including windows, are spotless and welcoming
- Manage laundry effectively—logging, storing and protecting it from damage
- Follow all COSHH guidelines and adhere strictly to our health and safety policies to ensure the well-being of guests, staff, and animals
Working Conditions:
- 20–40 hours per week, with flexibility required to support cover for holidays, sickness and special events
- As a 7-day operation, you’ll be expected to work alternate weekends
- Statutory holiday entitlement provided
- Hourly rate: £12.21
- Due to our rural location, a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
