Guest Services Assistant – The Big Cat Sanctuary
Full-Time | 40 Hours | 5 over 7 Days incl. Weekends & Bank Holidays | Based in Kent

Are you a natural people-person with a passion for first impressions, great conversations, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes? The Big Cat Sanctuary is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and organised Guest Services Assistant to be the welcoming face and steady hand at the heart of our operations.

In this varied, fast-paced role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests — both in person and remotely — ensuring every interaction is friendly, informative, and memorable. You’ll also keep things ticking over behind the scenes, from bookings to admin, supporting a brilliant visitor experience from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism, and a smile – whether in person, on the phone, or via email
  • Handling enquiries, bookings, and special requests promptly and accurately
  • Providing up-to-date knowledge on our Experiences, Lodges, and current offers
  • Going the extra mile to make each visitor feel valued, and resolving any issues with care and speed
  • Supporting the smooth running of all events and experiences – helping to create magical moments from first booking to fond farewell
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure everything runs like clockwork, even on our busiest days
  • Keeping guest records and systems updated, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety policies to keep guests, staff, and animals safe at all times

What We’re Looking For:

  • A friendly, confident communicator who thrives in a busy, guest-facing role
  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, or a similar customer service environment
  • Strong admin and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • A calm, professional approach with the ability to multitask and stay upbeat under pressure
  • IT confidence (booking systems knowledge is a plus!) and excellent phone etiquette
  • Someone with a flexible approach to working hours – including weekends and Bank Holidays
  • A smart, tidy appearance and willingness to wear the BCS uniform with pride

The Position:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7 including at least one weekend day
  • 8am – 5pm, with overtime as needed
  • Flexibility is key during busy periods and events
  • Starting salary £25,396.80 PA
