With our brand transformation underway, the Global Conservation Centre opening in late 2026, and landmark projects such as Lanterns of the Wild and The Gruffalo Discovery Land already drawing huge audiences, we are investing in the future. To achieve our ambitions, we need to transform how we connect digitally with over 700,000 annual visitors, thousands of members, and millions of potential guests.
The Role
Twycross Zoo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Conservation Education Manager to lead our education department through an exciting period of growth. With the upcoming Global Conservation Centre offering new teaching spaces, this role will be central to expanding our formal and informal learning programmes and driving conservation impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of educators across formal and informal programmes
- Develop engaging learning experiences and public engagement activities
- Oversee volunteer programmes and on-site interpretation
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all education delivery
- Collaborate on conservation research and represent TZ externally
About You
- Degree in conservation, zoology, or education
- Experience managing education teams in a zoo or similar setting
- Strong understanding of conservation challenges and education’s role in solutions
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
