BIAZA’s Conservation Committee is one of six key standing Committees that works to achieve BIAZA’s mission aims.
CC’s objectives are as follows:
- To encourage, facilitate and monitor the national and international conservation work of BIAZA and its member collections.
- To promote the conservation work carried out by zoos and aquariums to public, governments, NGOs and other external bodies such as potential funders.
- To encourage and facilitate partnerships and networking in order to support an effective One Plan Approach to collaborative conservation initiatives.
- To encourage a sustainable approach in BIAZA and its members.
BIAZA’s CC members work together to lead our collections in achieving these principles. In particular, we are keen to have representation from the devolved nations and from aquarium members.
