CONTEXT
The Artificial Intelligence Working Group (ArtInt WG) brings together expertise from across BIAZA (including research, animal husbandry, animal welfare, education and visitor experience) and external organisations (such as Universities and Industry) related to social science of relevance to zoos and aquariums.
This is a 3-year term and the successful applicant can stand for a second three-year term, after which they must stand down. This is an unpaid voluntary post and you must be currently employed by a BIAZA member zoo or aquarium in order to apply. You must have institutional support to accept the role.
The ArtInt WG is one of several working groups within the BIAZA Mission Enabling Committee (MEC). As ArtInt WG Chair you will therefore report into the BIAZA CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend and lead ArtInt in the organisation of meetings (typically 4 meetings per year)
Lead ArtInt in dealing with all general enquiries, administration and paperwork relating to the working group in a timely, professional, and organized manner.
Lead ArtInt in developing strategies and initiatives to further the respective aims of the group.
Be aware of developments in good practice in respect of artificial intelligence.
When requested, liaise with the BIAZA Executive Office on relevant topics and activities.
Through ArtInt actively support and aid BIAZA’s purpose and strategic goals
