About the Role:
Blackpool Zoo is currently looking to recruit an Experienced Bird Keeper; the successful candidate will join our existing team of keepers, assisting in the daily care & husbandry needs of our animals. The zoo houses over 85 species of birds, ranging from American Flamingos and Magellanic Penguins to Eastern White Pelicans and Kea, and the successful candidate will have experience working with a wide range of avian species. The role will also involve working within a mixed section including reptiles, small mammals and invertebrates.

Candidate Requirements:
You will have a minimum of 3 years bird keeping experience working in a recognised zoological institution and the DMZAA course or an equivalent qualification is essential. You will need to be hard working, physically fit, enthusiastic, and reliable. Experience with incubation and bird hand-rearing techniques would be advantageous.
