The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has announced that its resident female polar bear Victoria has given birth at the Highland Wildlife Park. It is the first time a polar bear cub has been born in the UK for 25 years.

Capercaillie returns to Highland Wildlife Park

Two pairs of endangered Capercaillie have made a flying return to RZSS Highland Wildlife Park. The large native Scottish bird will now be on show so visitors will be able to see the largest members of the grouse family which can reach around 90cm in length and up to 14lbs in weight.

Rare deer born at RZSS Highland Wildlife Park

Keepers at RZSS Highland Wildlife Park have recently welcomed a rare Bukhara deer calf to its herd in the Cairngorms. The male calf was born at the beginning of June to mother Mariam and has yet to be named.
